Subject: Haymeadow apartment's landlord refuses to repair my wood-rotted 3rd floor balcony, unstable guard rail, very unsafe and not up to code Message: How can I get an appointment or make a request for the city building inspector to inspect my unsafe, rotting, 3rd floor apartment balony? My landlord refuses to repair it and I have several emails from them to prove it. The guard rail is unstable and the wood is rotted and very dangerous, not safe to stand on. I'm wondering if you can come out, inspect my balcony, as well as the rest of the buildings on this property to hold the landlord accountable to make repairs in order to be up to city code and safe? I have been politely and respectfully requesting for the repairs and my phone calls are ignored, not returned, a date was set and promised to make the repair and the repairman never showed up. They keep promising to take care of this in emails to me, but its been two months and still no repair. If someone were to walk on my balcony, they are likely to fall through the rotted boards and the guard rail is not secure. It is several hundred feet above ground and very dangerous. I am paying full rent on time, yet cannot have the use of my balcony.
