House is vacant but owners not keeping up with maintenance. In the back of the house, gutters have rotted off house. Also in back, some siding has rotted away and now squirrels and raccoons have been seen building nests and coming/going all hours from the house.
Large board that covers hot water tank that has fallen on a child. Garbage disposal is broken.
Disabled senior couple in rental. House is badly insolated, air comes through the front door gaps and the couple is saying they cannot keep warm. They've been asking for their property management to come fix the door and have been ignored. They are elderly, physically and mentally disabled and feeling very forgotten. They called the city not knowing where else to turn for help.
Apt 3 Heat has been out for over a month, landlord sent one maintenance person who could not fix the issue and then gave her two space heaters and have been unresponsive since.
Garage is falling apart and has tree limbs falling/piling up on top of it for months.
Fence in back yard faces Sterling. Walkers concerned about the state of the fence at this property being able to stand up against several large dogs. They say this fence and some others surrounding it on Sterling are in general disrepair.
Electrical sockets don't have covers. Fridge sparks when moved because outlet is hanging out. Kitchen sink is leaking and landlord won't fix the pipes.
Hole in bathroom ceiling, cannot use toilet or shower due to water issues, property management not addressing issues after numerous complaints from tenant.
Numerous safety issues in building. Banister is missing on 3rd floor so the stairwell is not secure; laundry room is accessible from outdoors and is kept unlocked; outdoor light is burnt out and property management is not replacing it.
Issues with gutters and other interior problems that property management is neglecting to fix.
