I am referring this property to Code. Our client, Lindsey Spence, was the tenant until a major water leak in the basement caused flooding at the end of August and the water was shut off. The leak was determined to be the owner's responsibility and a contractor said that a portion of the basement exterior wall had to be removed. Lindsey is staying elsewhere right now. The landlord offered no assistance or alternative housing after this problem occurred. Further, there are other problems with this property such that an inspection is needed. Ms. Spence says that there was no inspection or self-inspection form completed when she moved in. She was promised that many things would be repaired when she move in, but the landlord failed to make the repairs. Also, the property is registered with the city as G&P Development Corp. Ms. Spence has been dealing with John Kincaid. I am not sure that Mr. Kincaid is an official property manager.
