Need a stop sign on Trailview at the corner of Thistle. Cars turning off Radnor to come into neighborhood should have the right away but I’ve had to slam on the breaks many times because people going south on Trailview don’t look for cars coming into the neighborhood. The other entrance to the neighborhood )on Hearthwood) has stop signs on Trailview for incoming traffic.
Address for start point--Ending point 2319 E War Memorial Dr. Caller says this stretch of War Memorial from Rock Island up to Washington Middle School is so overgrown you cannot safely walk there. There is also lots of debris in the from of concrete chunks and rocks along the sides of the road. Caller says IDOT told him this part of War Memorial fell under the City but I encouraged him to call them again to make sure.
I was born and raised in Peoria. I now live in Clinton Illinois but returned to Peoria quite frequently for family. The highlight is always the 4th of July. I have seen fireworks in Chicago St Louis and San Francisco, in Peoria by far beats them hands down. It is one of the small things that Peoria should be so proud of. After 2 years of not having fireworks, I have never been more excited than yesterday to finally see the remarkable fireworks show again. And now I have never been more disappointed. It was one of the worst shows that Peoria has had in years. There is no way that that was 3 years worth of a budget and 2,000 shells per minute. The entire show was out of sync with the music. And for some reason the barges were not anchored in the center of the river between the two bridges. They were cleared down by the Murray Baker!! The tugboat just kept pulling the barges back and forth and they were far too close to the Peoria shore, with fireworks being shot off too low and Sparks landing on spectators who had to get up and run! Where we were sitting, prime seats centered right in front of the river station on the river, the fireworks weren't even visible. We had to get up and walk clear down to the other side to be able to see the fireworks. The finale was nothing like past finales. Peoria has lost Caterpillar, the Spirit of Peoria, and if this happens again they'll no longer be known for their fireworks. I don't know who dropped the ball and screwed up but this was an embarrassment.
Neighbors of this address cut down a tree over the weekend and placed the large branches in between the fence and the alley of this citizen. Resident wants it to be known that it was not her that put it there and she would like someone to clean it up.
These are pix of potholes left after the street crew fixed other holes in this block.
Metal light poles, lights were cycling strange for awhile, then they started coming on around 10pm, and last night they did not come on at all. Caller states it is basically the whole block of W Lake near the Lakeview Library branch.
The alley way behind the southside of the 500-600 blocks of Loucks Ave. CONCRETE PAVED alley way, it really needs the street sweeper to clean up the alley way.
Fireworks being fired in the street on W Courtland Street 61615. So loud they are rattling windows and they are doing it right next to vehicles.
When turning left from Oakbrook onto delray, the bush encroaches into line of sight hindering ability to see oncoming traffic to the left
