Where is there a place we can say thank you for resolving issues? I want to thank the sign crew for taking care of the street sign at crossing dr and knoxville. Good job, quick response.
Don’t see a selection for street signs so I am taking a chance on the sign shop getting this. The street sign at the corner of Crossing Dr and Knoxville is leaning over quite a bit.
The traffic situation on Forrest Hill Av has become a nightmare. The street has become a freeway and now there are city buses, semi trucks, concrete trucks(that size vehicle), cars fly down the street(even switching lanes to pass another vehicle) and the noise level has increased dramatically! I am not sure why this has become a bus route. This is a residential area and I don’t think zoned commercial or light commercial…yet. No shops between Prospect and Sterling. Yet we have busses. Is that why you widened the street? The busses on Knoxville, Sheridan and Sterling could not handle the tremendous volume of riders? I am not sure Peoria really cares. In fact, I am pretty sure they do not.
Intersection of W Ridgemont and North Hollyridge is a well traveled street. A lot of cut through traffic from Knoxville to Sheridan. Have lived on this corner for ten years. Eight out of ten vehicles that come down Ridgemont run this Stop sign. Luckily no accidents have accrued that I know of. Wondering what can be done to get people to stop at the sign. Some roll through and some don’t.
This is a very dangerous spot near the Peoria player theatre that someone can easily get hit walking across the street because a car can be parked by the dumpster like the red truck and a car driving can not see the person crossing the street until it’s too late. Not sure if this is a park district issue or city issue but there should not be parking by the dumpster as it’s very unsafe. My daughter a few years ago almost got hit by a car.
Cars are speeding in the school zone, even when there are children walking along the shoulder. There needs to be traffic calming.
Given the heavy traffic leaving Louisville Slugger at times, it would make sense to have 2 turning lanes off Orange Prairie onto War Memorial (left turn). There is a significant backup after activities conclude. Thanks!
I’m the president of the HOA and during HOA last week, several residents complained of excessive speeding in the neighborhood. We are requesting speed limit signs to be posted at both North and South entrance of Granite for Wynncrest subdivision. Councilman Cyr suggested reporting via Peoria Cares. Please let me know next step.
A stop sign is needed on E Northridge at Grand. Many times cars have turned onto Grand without stopping. Grand traffic does not expect cars not stopping because of the T intersection. Thanks
