SR#66754 Upon rising this morning I see that your snowplow knocked down my mailbox. Nothing else could have snapped such a heavy wooden post in half. I expect it to be fully repaired, at City of Peoria expense, on a new heavy wooden beam as before. Kevin Nickerson 4225 N Harvard Ave Peoria, IL, 61614 309-253-6925
SR#65680 Snow plow destroyed mail box. Could not add photos to this app.
Not sure who knocked the mailbox down but last night while it was snowing my mailbox was destroyed.
SR#58418 This is the 2nd time my mailbox has been spun around, the post knocked loose, the door opened, and 1/2 the mail dumped on the snow in the last 10 days. This was done by City of Peoria snow plows on a snow route, at 5323 W. Ancient Oak Drive. In both cases, valuable tax documents were knocked to the ground and were soaked. Hopefully, I recovered all of the documents (I’m not sure if I did). The mailbox pole is barely still standing; however, it will have to be reset in a plastic foam type material that mimics setting a post in concrete. This is not a cheap mailbox assembly! This oversized mailbox, post, decorative trim and numbers, foam post mounting compound and professional labor, has a total cost was $300!! Your snow plows are 2 for 2 this winter. 2 snows - 2 mailbox damages. The mailbox gets worse each time after it is hit. THIS CAN NOT CONTINUE!!! Regards, Mark D. SR#48769 Mailbox was knocked down by snow plow. Filed a request on Feb 25 and followed up with a phone call but no response or action. The cemented metal in the ground that attaches to the post is bent. I purchased a new mailbox post and ground anchor kit, but need help installing them. No damage to actual mailbox; just post and anchor. Please call at 309-696-0584 to make arrangements for repair.
SR#48212 Mailbox knocked down by snow trucks during the last snow. I have been out of town on Caterpillar business, but noticed it was leaning and is not able to stand up straight in its own or face the road. My neighbor said he noticed it the morning the plows went through. The cement footing in the ground has been pushed pulled out and the post that connects to the footing is bent at the base. No issues with the mailbox itself attached to the post. Need help from the city to put in a replacement footing and a replacement post to attach the mailbox to. This is the third year this has happened, but I have done previous repairs myself. It is installed properly from the original builder.
SR#48106 Peoria snow plows knocked down my mailbox twice, breaking the pole. I have worked with USPS to find an acceptable location further in lot. How do we go about getting a new box? I have it propped up not but we’ve been missing mail. My name is Josh Riekena. I own the Country Financial building at 5408 w Landens Way in Peoria. My office # is 309-689-3161. We’d like to solve this pretty soon.
