resident has cleared out the lost adjacent to 10509 N. Manchester Dr. and is burning off logs and brush nearly all day every weekend. the smoke smell is permeating into our home (Windows are closed) and is aggravating our allergies, causing headaches and asthma related issues.
This company is burning on most nice days. It started in the fall, and they have started back up again. The kids at Wilder Waite and in the neighborhood nearby are playing in smoke. I've driven through smoke when on the on ramp to 6, which borders their property. It's a nuisance.
Good afternoon. I recently heard that smoke detectors need to be updated every 10 years. In my home I have smoke detectors that are hard wired into the house with a battery backup. The house was built in 2003, so I am due for new detectors. Are you aware of any local companies that offer the service to install new and remove old hard wired detectors? They are difficult for me to access with the high ceilings and the wiring harness and new base install will be a challenge. Any information on vendors / companies would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
Recent fire calls to The Grove have brought concern from residents that fire alarms in buildings are not working properly. Fire alarm in 1614 never sounded during call last week according to residents. Fire alarm in 1622 has a note on the wall to call Fire Department if it sounds. Can Fire Department check for proper operation?
Fire being started almost nightly at this address. Apparently burning leaves or green wood causing considerable smoke at the location. Many elderly nearby neighbors say their houses fill with smoke because of it. It is too bad we can’t enjoy the nice weather in our own neighborhood because of this one property.
Resident is planting flowers around fire hydrant and on public spaces.
2nd floor balcony on rear of building full of trash and wood which is a fire hazard
Fire alarm malfunctioning for awhile, realized today the panel is totally off and not functioning at all
Apartment building not up to code. Multiple areas where there is black mold, mice, no insulation, no ventilation, no fire escape, furnace not properly installed, and old fuse box. I fear for my safety on a daily basis.
