SR#67110 Our home is on the corner of Garfield and Moss. Our concern is the speed at which through traffic travels from Union Hill to Moss to Garfield on to Main Street or from Main Street down Garfield to Moss and then on to Union Hill. Garfield is not a straight shot. It jogs slightly not far from the intersection of Garfield and Moss making it difficult to view oncoming traffic. Could a traffic calmer be an option for us?
Since there are no sidewalks on West Forrest Hill, North Molleck Dr or West Reservior, I am requesting that the speed limits be changed to 20mph to increase safety for pedestrians on these roads.
At 1200 North Underhill there is a silver car parked on the street with expired plates. The car is illegally parked as there is no parking on this side of the street. The car has been there a week and hasn't moved. It is parked directly under a sign that reads "No Parking This Side of the Street".
As you know, there are no sidewalks between 2600 West Richwoods Blvd and Reservoir Ave. Since vehicles routinely speed at 50-60mph, I am requesting "all-way" stops be installed at Molleck dr, Kingston dr and Chestnut lane.
Every morning between 7:00am and 7:20am there is a silver Honda Prelude, or similar, with black bumpers and black wheels, that comes down W24 from Washington and crosses the McClugage Bridge heading toward Prospect Ave. Drives very reckless, tailgates and cuts people off as he weaves in and out of traffic. Drives well above the 45 MPH speed limit. He usually turns left on Columbus Ave as he approaches Prospect. I have been a victim of his driving several times. I have seen him pulled over before but he is not learning his lesson. One day he is going to cause a major accident or road rage from his disregard for safety. C
Whereas vehicles routine travel at ove 50mph with no speed limit enforcement on NE Monroe, is is possible to have a 4-way stop at Wayne & Monroe and also Mary & Monroe in an attempt to slow down the traffic in our neighborhood?
Vehicles park in handicapped parking spots several times a day with no visible handicapped placards. Our handicapped patients need to use these spots. Location is in front of OSF Home Medical Equipment office. Located between Baby Shoppe and Chinatown restaurant.
Drivers are disregarding the posted speed limit and stop signs in neighborhood. Several children live in the area and this poses a threat to their safety.
Caller reported that there are people using the church parking lot to repair their vehicles and have started just sitting vehicles in the lot since there is no church services being held at the facility. Many people in vehicles are gather there all the time in their cars.
TOO Many close calls on the corner of bootz and corrington. I am very surprised that no one has been killed from people blowing the stop sign and racing down our streets. We are just getting more and more children in our area and that is great, but it is not great when they are scared to play outside or ride their bike on the sidewalk! Speed bumps would salve a lot of this! The only time this slowed down was when the aardvark was parked on our street. I would even take that over the crazy drivers.
