I have called the property management 5 times this month about my heating problems in my house. They sent a HVAC company after my 3rd contact with them and they came to put silver tape in some leaks. My basement was 50 degrees when they came to do that job. It is now 47 degrees which is where my shower is located. When the HVAC company came the first time, they also noticed that the hot water exhaust had completely rusted through and exhaust was not going out the chimney. I had to place another maintenance call for them to come back and fix that with new piping. They did, however when the young man was there, he broke the gas line to the water heater and had to go get parts to fix that. I am still without proper air flow throughout my house - two bedrooms upstairs are freezing cold, the basement is 47 degrees, and now I have no hot water and pipes freezing because the owners do not want to wrap the pipes in the crawl space. I placed a call this morning to the property management company to request maintenance AGAIN on the HVAC and have the water heater looked at since it was left in pieces when the repair boy left (pilot light faceplate wasn't replaced, ring around the water heater not replaced and it is turned up to MAX temp with no results). As a typical property management company responds to phone calls (they don't) I received a text message back saying they will get back with me. What can I do to get this homeowner to fix the problems since my first contact with them was January 3rd and they didn't send a repair person until the 13th after I had to contact them two more times. I am going to text them the issue again today so I have documentation of my requests but REALLY need to get the heat dispersed throughout the house properly! I understand basements typically don't stay at 70 degrees, however as a tenant, I don't feel I should have to shower in 47 degrees either!
Got a tip that this rental property is not registered to the property owner/landlord and because of this back taxes are not being paid.
