I wanted to inquire about a field trip/tour of a fire station. Do the fire stations still allow these for kids who are interested about fire safety?
Fire hydrant is knocked over, no water is shooting out per caller.
Good afternoon. I recently heard that smoke detectors need to be updated every 10 years. In my home I have smoke detectors that are hard wired into the house with a battery backup. The house was built in 2003, so I am due for new detectors. Are you aware of any local companies that offer the service to install new and remove old hard wired detectors? They are difficult for me to access with the high ceilings and the wiring harness and new base install will be a challenge. Any information on vendors / companies would be greatly appreciated. Apt 232. Water has been off since Sunday and they're not receiving any communication from property management.

Fire truck e-15 Ran over the stop for pedestrian sign. Heard a cracking sound. Saw sign laying in pieces on Hamilton leading to downtown.
The fire hydrant at the end of the 800 block of W. Maywood has a nozzle with a gauge and has been spewing water into the street for well over a month. I am wondering if the City is aware of this and if so, when will the hydrant be turned off. Thanks for looking into this matter.
