A utility crew has worked on a number of properties in Hawthorne Hills this summer. This hole was dug by the same utility crew on our property (1523 W Kingsway Drive, Peoria, IL 61614) about six weeks ago. It has filled with rain water numerous times and the concrete sidewalk appears to be eroding around it. In time I imagine it will also affect the street pavement. Aside from the erosion to the sidewalk and street, it is a safety hazard. Any animal or person could fall in. Trick-or-treaters last night could have easily fallen into the dark open pit since it only had one cone next to it. Finally, I’m also concerned about our property when the exposed lines in the pit freeze. I have not seen ANY utility crew workers in our area working lately, and definitely not on our street. This issue is a safety issue and needs to be addressed quickly. Thank you.

So King Tree said the city was goin to grind this out. King Tree got here a lot sooner than expected. They initially said January. It is ready to be ground out if you got a crew doin stump removals. It is in the right of way. Your stump. 1027 n maplewood.

Sink hole in street marked with cone. Big enough for a tire to fit in, residents worried about kids getting hurt.

Something with a lid on it but not secured. Looks like a large tunnel large enough someone could fit inside. (BLACK PLASTIC LID) Had a fall outside property in a hole that wasn't covered. Leg fell into hole. CONTACTING INSURANCE COMPANIES
Speed limit meter on Moss Avenue is broken, box is open and some wires are cut and hanging. Thanks for your help.
