I wanted to inquire about a field trip/tour of a fire station. Do the fire stations still allow these for kids who are interested about fire safety?
At the intersection of W. Nebraska and Peirson by 2647 W. Nebraska a while ago a truck or car must have run into the guardrail, caution sign and a house. The house has been fixed, the guardrail and caution sign has not.
From email: "We are the home owners at 1701 W. Barker Ave. our home sits at the corner of Barker and Cooper. I spoke to your crew members last week when they were on Cooper taking down some trees in regards to the tree in front of our home being removed. We are having our roof redone very soon, and would not want it destroyed by the rotten tree in front of our home. My husband and I have had 5 very large trees removed this summer in our yard that were all rotten. The remaining tree in front of our front door that faces Cooper is on the city’s land. It is very unstable, creeks a lot in the wind and we’ve had several top branches fall as our neighbors have just experienced today. Please consider removing the tree in front of our home in the next week while you are tending to the rotten tree with the large branch that has fallen this morning."
Fridge was dropped off truck yesterday and was removed, but now there is debris including glass and plastic on the roadway that needs cleaning. Requesting street sweeper be sent out.
From email: "What appears to be a cell tower has been erected on property owned by Ameren (PIN13-12-300-006 I believe) adjacent to our residential neighborhood. The tower has been erected near to the rear lot of a residence directly across the street from us. It certainly appears to violate set back requirements based on the height of the structure, and it is an eyesore that negatively effects the neighborhood.. Can you confirm whether this cell tower is in compliance with all required zoning and setback requirements? "
Kentucky Fried Chicken located at 2231 W. Glen Ave. leaves their flood lights on 24/7 and shines brightly in other residence windows and yards. It would also help save $ if they shut them off at a decent hour
