Why would the Peoria Fire Department post a fatal vehicle accident which occurred on Glen before the Coroner notified next of kin. This is highly insensitive due to recognition of the vehicle description as shown on WMBD.
Over night someone knocked over the fire hydrant on the corner of my property.
311 E Armstrong Hi Nick! As a concerned citizen only, has it been 180 days on that property for boarded up doors? I looked on Realtor.com, it seems for sale, $200k. I just spoke with CeCe at the fire department (small world, I know her sister) she seemed to say they didn’t have anything on it?? It seems perfect for arson or homeless person as back door was not totally secure. I stuck my pruners through the opening. Ha. You check it out? Surely it’s not insured or set for demolition. Most grateful, thank you!!! Just keeping you busy!
Why is the city council talking of closing two engines?! My taxes pay for the police fire and roads. The Fire Dept has no room for any closers. Stop spending money on stupid things and use my money for what it’s for. I have spoken to many neighbors and ever one agrees that closing fire stations is not the answer.
Are there rules about fire pits?Occupant burns fires in a fire pit day and night. Smoke comes into other houses causing issues with allergies and asthma. I don’t mind an occasional backyard fire pit but this constant fire and smoke from a smoldering fire is obnoxious.
Vacant abandoned rental frequented by vagrants and becoming a home for mold and wild animals creating unsafe conditions for reasons of fire and basic sanitation issues. Not to mention the property values of surrounding homes and the overgrowth and neglect of the gutters and vegetation
Is it allowable for emergency vehicles to break traffic laws during non emergencies. A Peoria fire department vehicle labeled T3 when heading west on Main turned right onto Bourland and proceeded North on Bourland when there was no emergency. Main Street had a great deal of traffic backed up almost to the Shell station location. It appeared that the vehicle labeled T3 was avoiding traffic. Bourland is clearly marked “Do Not Enter”. are city officials allowing these types of vehicles to ignore traffic laws again when there is no emergency. The incident happened today around 2:48 PM.
Witnessed a large fire coming from back yard where there was a pile of debris such as old lumber and yard waste. Smoke was entering neighboring homes. Not sure what the ordinance is for this area.
