SR#66645 Temp sign from Two Maids. Have seen a lot of them around town again.
SR#65094 Everyone loves a good yard sign but does a business like Great Clips really need a sign every 5 feet along frontage roads around Shoppes at Grand Prairie/ Hy-Vee. We all get that your giving hair cuts for $9.99 just take it down a couple notches.
SR#60648 Previous complaint on this was closed. Nothing was done to fix the problem. Property owner still has sidewalk blocked and it is unsafe. Slippery and always wet from sump pump drainage. Very unsightly and hazardous.
SR#56840 HyVee at Sheridan Village still has 20 banners and 15 small yard signs. This is the NINTH complaint to PEORA CARES and each of the other complaints continues to be marked CLOSED without the infractions changing and WITH NO COMMENTS. Can the city please comment on why this big box is allowed to consistently breach the Peoria sign regulations even with multiple citizen complaints. You wouldn’t allow this in a north side white neighborhood correct?
Despite over a dozen complaints in the past year regarding over 50 sign violations at any one given time at the Hy-Vee on Sheridan Road, new banners are going up today. There are over 25 banners and over 30 small yard signs. Every time a complaint is filed and Peoria Cares public works and community development close the complaints but yet as you can see from this picture the banners continue to go up. Different rules for different businesses in the city of Peoria Illinois. SR# 056195
25 banners Hyvee ninth complaint. SR 056195
SR#55672 10/28/2019 HyVee Sheridan Road There are 25 banners being used by Hy-Vee on the street when only one is permitted. This along with close to 80 small signs at one time at this ONE HyVee begs the question, why do you enforce this and small businesses but not on the large grocers even with continued complaints being filed. In talking to the front desk manager about it she laughed and said Peoria would never touch us with the amount of taxes that we contribute
SR#55672 Close to 85 small illegal signs. 9th complaint about this Hyvee in 3 years. and breaking city sign rules. Why the big box exception when you are enforcing and dining on the smaller businesses. Steve Tartar please add this to your spreadsheet
