There is a recurring problem with cars parking at the intersection of Institute Place and Main Street (just across from the Bradley Business and Engineering Convergence Center) that are not along the curb but we’ll into the path of traffic. See photo and/or my previous Peoria Cares report from last week.
There is a pile of rocks on street that owner of house has had there for over year now. The owner was using the rocks for sidewalk but hasnt worked on it for year and it is road hazard.
Cars like the one in this photo are consistently parking on the corners on both sides of the street where Institute runs into Main across from Bradley University’s Business & Engineering building. It makes it very difficult to see oncoming traffic and safely pull onto Main from Institute.
Car parked on wrong side of street and too close to intersection. White Chevy Impala or Malibu.
Caller states that the corner of SW Washington and Chicago cars are parked there daily causing a blind spot.
District 150 school buses staged on W Florence Ave at entrance of Walgreens (N University) creates a dangerous visual obstruction of oncoming traffic when exiting Walgreens and Kindercare
Multiple used cars are parked in the abandoned store lot each week. A new car is parked there almost every day. They have sale signs in the windows. They cause a visual obstruction for drivers trying to turn off Ridge and Crestwood roads. Very dangerous.
This empty, fenced in lot is having a lot of traffic in and out at all hours. Neighbors say it is so dark here at night--due to the shrubbery and lack of street lights--that they cant see people around this lot until someone steps out at them. Neighbors are requesting a street light near this property and/or the greenery be maintained so that they can see if anyone is there.
There is a washer which apparently dropped off someone’s truck sitting in the middle of the street at Abington and Perry in front on the entry at Woodruff School.
There is a parked semi that has been there since late December. It blocks the entryway to Ridge rd and obstructs view when trying to turn on to Sheridan. It is abandoned and has not moved.
