Eb glen at dawn. Red light out SR#033306 entered 12/12/17
There's a real problem at this light. If you're heading south on Maplewood waiting to turn left, it's a long wait even on a good day. A driver is in real trouble though if a pedestrian comes from the Uplands and wants to cross Main. If they push the walk button, they will get a walk sign before the car gets a green and then the light totally skips the driver, who won't get a green. The car will have to sit and wait another lengthy cycle before a green light. BUT, if another pedestrian comes, the same thing will happen again. I love the walkability improvements to West Main and commend them. Could I ask you to take a look at the logic of the light controls at that intersection and at least give the car a green after the pedestrian crosses safely? Thank you so much for the consideration!! Public Works is analyzing this signal's function. Thank you. Traffic Engineering
There is an issue with the sequencing for pedestrian versus car turning left onto Main Street from Maplewood Avenue. I use this light daily and I have waited through three traffic cycles as pedestrians keep coming and pressing the button to cross Main Street. The car should be given a turn and not be skipped if it has been waiting. It would be nice if the pedestrian was allowed to cross and then the car could make a left turn onto Main. Thank you for looking into this problem. .............. Service Request # 32945 has been generated. Thank you for using PeoriaCares!
Left turn lane signal from Allen rd to Pioneer Parkway needs adjusting. The signal stays on well after all of the traffic has gone through. I have sat in the Allen rd northbound land for 35-40 seconds with no one using the left turn lane. Both Fri & Sat mornings I waited for the northbound Allen signal to change to green at 5:15am and I was the only one on the road. ............ Service Request # 32947 has been generated. The lights at war memorial drive and orange prairie are not right. All lights will be green except this one will be red at 5 in the morning and then takes forever to change to green. Started doing this about a week ago. Every time there is a problem with the light along that route it’s always the one at orange prairie Service Request #31961 has been created per your request.
