Stoplight at Mossville Grade School flashing again
Cycle is only allowing 3 cars to access cycle of green light at Richwoods turning north onto Sterling Ave.
My family & I live at 7425 N Knoxville. I need you to take seriously the increasing speed and improper behavior of drivers on this stretch of Knoxville Avenue, for a number of reasons. First, and most obvious, the speed limit is 45 but no one does under 60 and, if you do, you're liable to be rear-ended or cursed out (this has happened to me, sadly). Second, I live in a neighborhood with only one exit and entrance and it is nearly impossible to turn out of our street with traffic moving so quickly, if we want to turn left we all need to play Frogger and cross one lane, then sit in the median of this now apparent highway for the other lane to clear. Third, just yesterday someone came flying into our neighborhood and obliterated the neighnorhood sign marker, then drove away. Thank you to the police officer who helped us figure that out, but it shouldnt have happened in the first place...you dont take out brick and concrete signs following traffic rules. Fourth, I have already placed a call to ISP District 8 and am also awaiting their response. Overall, I dont expect an officer to sit on our street night and day, but there are passive means of traffic enforcement or "calming" that must be discussed. Something is very wrong when I have to turn the evening news up to hear over the roar of cars gunning it from Pioneer/Giles. Please take this seriously and do something lasting, our neighborhood has had enough. Thank you, please call me to discuss.
The turn arrow at East bound Glen ave to North bound Sheridan only lets 4 to 5 cars thru each cycle of the light. You must then set thru a complete cycle (90secs or more regardless if their is any traffic on Sheridan either direction. In this day an age I would think that your trafic control people would be able to let the entire line of cars go thru before changing to Sheridan traffic for atleast as long as E bound Glen is closed!!!
8-10-22 the traffic light at Richwoods and Sterling. The light for Richwoods to make a left turn onto Sterling is VERY SHORT! Only 3 cars can make it thru intersection before it changes to yellow. It has caused up to 8 cars or more to be backed up in the left turn lane at one time. light times were fine yesterday.
Stoplight at Main and Maplewood, near Bradley campus. While waiting to leave the Uplands by turning left, the stoplight cycled twice without ever giving a turn arrow to leave the Uplands. Finally gave up and turned right and went down Western but was late for a meeting. Couple you please take a look at this? I had heard the camera was difficult to get parts for but that a replacement was in the works — things seemed to be working better over the past couple of months. Thank you!!
Specifically it is not triggering from the Maplewood side or the left lane on Main
The light at Maplewood and Main is not cycling. Please check.
There's no way to request a pedestrian walk signal to cross William Kumph/rt 40 on the NW side and it doesn't trigger on normal light cycles
