Tree in alleyway is dead and needs removed
Caller is requesting residents at this address be considered a "nuisance" property. Numerous children in the home that are causing damage to neighboring properties that have included broken windows and damage to siding. Officers have been dispatched numerous times according to caller. Would like PPD to take action in some form, whether that be the armadillo truck or another means.
Black 4 door sedan continues to park facing the wrong way on the Atlantic side of this intersection.
I'm hoping you can help. I live in Oakwoods Apts. It is a disaster here and it seems like no one cares. To start, it had been over a year since our last maintenance person. Our so-called manager would repare things by watching YouTube tutorials. She also oy addressed emergencies so there is so much day to day repairs that need done in this building. The maintenance man from the Eureka property( same owners) addressed a lot of emergency. maintenance calls too.Things got repaired correctly, the 1st time when he did it, but he rarely gets a full night's sleep between here and there. She finally hired on a new guy and he's not even here half the time. There was a big flood on the 2nd or 3rd floor last thrusday night. The building smelt strong of mildew and people down here on the ground floor had water pouring into their apartments from their ceilings, light fixtures. They are STILL waiting for carpet cleanings and repairs from that flood. They are having to live in moldy/mildewy apartments. There are also bedbugs and roaches throughout the building. We haven't had pest control here regularly in 2 years. There was one visit over a year ago they sprayed the whole building, but that was it. Our manager is having one apartment treated at a time, not the whole building the same day, for bedbugs. However many residents are still saying they have bed bugs and are getting bitten and Cassie has been told a while ago and reminded, but nothing has been done for their apartments yet. Even our Laundry room chairs were infested and managent was told, but nothing was done. Many people have complained of bites and seen bedbugs crawling on them in the laundry room, myself included-2 weeks apart. I believed her when I told her about my 1st bites and actually killing the bed bug that was crawling on me.2 weeks later, sitting in the same chairs, I got quite a few bites again. She did nothing. What the point of even treating one apartment if she's going to let them breed everywhere else in the building. Same with the roaches. Most the time you can't even get ahold of her. She's out smoking or in her car. She'll be goodness knows where in the building, or she'll be in her office but refuse to answer the door or have a do not disturb sign up for DAYS. Even or old maintenance man and the new one have complained that she's difficult to get ahold of.We had a fire over a year ago started by a woman who is routinely seen stumbling drunk in the hallways. Her apt is on the 1st floor on the left end(laundry room hallway). She was smoking with her oxygen on. Luckily our old maintenance man was in the hall at the time and got in to extinguish it. They didn't evict her, so we feel like we are sitting duck's for her next fire- especially since staff and maintenance are rarely here. There are so many drugs and drug dealers in this building. You can tell by the constant smell of skunk weed, which weed is illegal in a HUD building, plus certain apartments have 10-15ish visitors a day that only stay briefly. I'm sure it's not just pot being delt in this building. Not since Illinois legalized it. There's more popular drugs and more money to be made with other drugs now.(My ex's family are all into that stuff. I didn't want my kids around them) The skunk weed in the hallways drafts into our apartments. It is not good for people with Neurological conditions. It makes me and another tenant have seizures. It's medical Marijuana without the THC that helps neuro conditions. Sorry, I've gone on long enough, I promise. We're desperate for help so our building isn't a health and safety hazard to us. We're also afraid if it doesn't get fixed, it will only continue to get worse until the city shut it down. Then what will happen? It's elderly and disabled tenants here. Thanks for listening. Please keep my name confidential if you talk to our manager. I am scared of retaliatory action if she knew I contacted you. Have a good weekend!
2800 block of W. Scenic Drive GFL has left trash and Pieces of metal dropped from trash truck onto primary street (This morning)
Illinois American Water dug in front of this property and never came back to clean up the mess/fill the holes. Callers are trying to get through to water company about it but in the mean time they are requesting the city bring some barriers for the spot so it can be seen at night and to prevent children being hurt by it.
Construction taking place around this property is making it hard to maneuver in street for residents. Neighbors around the area wonder if anything will be done to clean up the street as they say signs of construction and materials have been left untouched for a month now.
Shed is being erected in back yard and caller is concerned about stability of it.
Leaves trash cans at the street 24/7. Please have it returned to home.
Trash can being left out in front of garages instead of on the side of the house or behind the garage.
